St. Pete Beach
Robotics Program
The St. Pete Beach robotics program offers several robotics classes to children ages 8 and up. These classes allows students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) and Computer Science by building and progamming robots.
The St. Pete Beach robotics program teaches students teamwork by paring students in teams of two where they will work together to program and build fully autonomous robots.

All students must start with the Beginner Class. In the Beginner Class there will be teachers that will guide the students on how to program and build robots. First the students will build their very own robot, they will then be taught using lessons the teacher has made on how to program their robots, once the students fully understand the programming language and how to use it they will then be given basic challenges that they must overcome using the skills they have learned.

The Intermediate Class is invitation only. To be invited into the Intermediate Class students must go through one to two month in the Beginner Class, this is to insure that students fully understand the programming language used by the robots. In the Intermediate Class students will be given advanced challenges such as mazes, sumo wrestling, and games that they will overcome using the skills they have learned in the Beginner Class.

The team is invitation only. In order to be invited on to the team the students must be over the age of ten and must know the programming languages taught in the Beginner and Intermediate Classes. The team competes in national and world wide competitions by builing and programming fully autonomous robots that complete challenges given by judges.
